Tips when buying Condo's and Town house: 

1. When you find the right complex ask to see the budget of the association and the last 3 month's of minutes from the association meetings.

2. Carefully review to make sure there is enough money in the budget to cover any needed repairs and maintenance. Every association should keep accurate records of minutes from monthly meetings, budgets and be able to provide them upon your request.

3. Review minutes  to see if there is any upcoming repairs or if any major repairs have been done. This will give you a good idea of what is happening in the association so you are not surprised after your purchase with an assessments for repairs.
